Dusit Thani College launches free online video lessons for people looking to upskill amidst the COVID-19 crisis

'The Giving Project' follows the college's mission to support its communities while cultivating ethical principles amongst its students.

Dusit Thani College is demonstrating its care for its broader communities by launching 'The Giving project' – a unique series of online video lessons teaching people cooking and hospitality skills, entirely for free.

Hosted and presented by the the college's talented staff, and posted on the institute's official Facebook and Youtube pages, the lessons will show viewers how to make traditional Thai dishes and desserts, prepare herbal spa treatments, make beautiful flower arrangements, carve fruits and vegetables, and even fold towels and napkins to the standard required of a five-star hotel.

Here, to whet your appetite, is the first lesson – how to make traditional Thai dumplings. Yum!

The Giving Project has been launched in line with the college's ongoing programme of activities designed to support its broader communities while cultivating ethical and sustainable principles amongst its students. By offering a selection of classes online for free, the college hopes to help people whose jobs have been impacted by the COVID-19 crisisby giving them a chance to learn new skills which can be applied in numerous ways.

The project will run from now until 29 June 2020. Instruction is in Thai. The full programme is as follows:
