Traditional Boat Noodles with a five-star twist at DSRB

Local diners can’t get enough of the hotel’s new lunchtime pop-up concept. What makes it so popular? Join us as we check it out for ourselves…

As part of Dusit’s group wide efforts to generate ancillary revenue to mitigate the ongoing impact of COVID-19 on business, the talented culinary team at Dusit Suites Hotel Ratchadamri, Bangkok recently introduced a new lunchtime pop-up shop selling traditional Thai Boat Noodles – or kuaitiao ruea – to appreciative local diners.

Located just outside the hotel’s Dusit Gourmet outlet, and open every Mon–Fri from 11am until the noodles run out (arrive before 12.30pm to avoid missing out!), the shop has proved a big hit thanks to its brilliant balance of quality and value (only THB 60 for a big bowl).

The noodles themselves – a famously aromatic mix of steamed pork, meatballs, dark soy sauce, pickled bean curd, pig’s liver, and spices – is packed full of flavour and wonderfully moreish. A true five-star version of this local classic.
