Dusit Thani Hua Hin puts health and environment first by sourcing local organic produce

'Eat Well, Live Well' dishes made using sustainable produce prove a huge hit on restaurant menus

Dusit Thani Hua Hin has become one of the first properties in Thailand to source local organic produce as part of a sustainability project initiated by Dusit's Corporate Sustainability Committee.

Embracing the project after sensing the long-term environmental, health and economic benefits to be gained, key members of the resort's management and culinary teams visited farmers and producers in the local community to learn more about their organic crops and produce. This included eye-opening trips to Chang Hua Man Royal Project, Rong See Hang Kwan Suk, Palisa Farm, and many others, from where the team sourced organic rice, vegetables and fruit to create special menus as part of the resort's 'Eat Well, Live Well' wellness concept.

The organic dishes have proved a big hit with diners, with the majority rating them from good to excellent, and also saying they would recommend them to others, in a recent survey conducted by the resort.

Buoyed by this great feedback, the Sustainability Committee of Dusit Thani Hua Hin recently visited the Chaipattana Mae Fah Luang Reforestation Plant Project where they continued their search for the best locally produced ingredients available in the area.
